Ratings agencies, experts, and car aficionados agree – the 2016 Acura RDX is a triumph:
Performance on the 2016 Acura RDX is incredibly engaging thanks to a standard 3.5L V6 i-VTEC® engine that pumps out a commanding 279 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. This can be delivered to either the front wheel or all four via the available AWD system. Fuel economy is also strong with a standard EPA-estimated 29 mpg highway and 20 mpg city, numbers that only fall slightly with all-wheel drive to 28 mpg highway and 19 mpg city.
The redesign of the 2016 Acura RDX was able to keep its stylish and sophisticated design while adding significant touches of attitude, performance, and efficiency. The new version of this model has a more aggressive stance with more aerodynamic lines, while the redesigned front and rear fascia features Jewel Eye® LED headlights and taillights.
The Acura RDX falls in line with much of the Acura lineup offering a generous array of standard features, including heated and power driver and front passenger seats, keyless entry, and folding rear seats. Interior volume is quite spacious and easily able to seat five adult passengers with 129.6 cubic feet. Behind the back seats, you’ll have plenty of room for a family trip at 26.1 cubic feet. Fold the rear seats down, and the cargo area opens up to 76.9 cubic feet, enough to move a table.
Buying the Acura RDX means gaining some of the most advanced auto tech in the industry today. Every model comes with Bluetooth phone and audio, satellite radio, and a rearview camera. You can also get an Acura Navigation System with voice recognition. Advanced safety features include available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while buyers of the Advance package can get AcuraWatch, which comes with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision mitigation braking, and more.
