And, while the RDX is a little more roomy for passengers, the MDX enables drivers to customize their fold-down third-row seats for even more storage space.   • The Acura MDX is 196.2 inches long, and 77.7 inches wide. The RDX is just 186.7 inches long and 74.8 inches wide, so you’ll have an easier time parking.
  • The MDX and RDX offer near-equal amounts of legroom in their first and second rows. However, the MDX offers a comfortable third row of seating, as well as more shoulder room in both the front and rear rows. 
  • With all seats upright, the MDX offers 15.8 cubic feet of storage, compared to 29.5 cubic feet in the RDX.
  • Fold the rear seats down, and it’s the MDX which comes out ahead. It offers a total of 90.9 cubic feet with both the third and second rows flat. The RDX cargo capacity tops out at 58.9 cubic feet.
